概要
In Kisan Rover, we are developing India’s first solar-powered agricultural robotic bull that solves the problem of 150 million small-scale farmers in India and 500 million globally. These farmers, especially in regions like South Asian countries and sub-Saharan Africa, are often among the world’s poorest people. All agricultural tasks are done manually by these farmers; they do not have access to affordable advanced machinery. For that, we are developing this Kisan Rover, which can perform 10+ agricultural tasks affordably and sustainably. We developed this fully electric and solar-powered solution.

日本,南アジア,アフリカ – Kisan Rover is targeting India as the primary market, with active expansion plans in Kenya, Nigeria, and Ethiopia in Sub-Saharan Africa, as well as Bangladesh, Nepal, and Sri Lanka in South Asia. These regions have a high concentration of smallholder farmers facing similar challenges in mechanization, labor shortages, and pesticide exposure. We are seeking partnerships with local NGOs, FPOs, agri-cooperatives, and distribution agents in these countries to establish test sites, conduct field trials, and build localized sales channels for scalable impact.

Kisan Rover is currently seeking additional test sites in rural agricultural regions across India and internationally, especially in Sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia, where smallholder farmers face similar challenges. We aim to establish sales and distribution channels through partnerships with NGOs, FPOs, agri-cooperatives, and rural entrepreneurs. Domestically, we are expanding our VLE-based distribution network and engaging with government schemes and CSR programs for large-scale deployments. We’re also exploring collaboration with agri-universities and innovation hubs for field validation and demonstrations.

Kisan Rover has engaged with multiple impactful categories to ensure widespread adoption and visibility among small and marginal farmers: 1. Demonstration Sites & Pilots: We have conducted live field demonstrations across multiple villages in India through partnerships with Village Level Entrepreneurs (VLEs), Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs), and NGOs. Pilots are being run in collaboration with the SwitchON Foundation and EarthON Foundation, reaching over 1,000+ farmers directly through on-ground testing and feedback. 2. Membership-Based Organizations: Engaged with FPOs and farmer collectives that have a combined reach of over 2 million smallholder farmers across regions like Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Maharashtra, and Telangana. Working closely with IIM Calcutta Innovation Park, which provides access to a rural network of over 1,000 innovation-focused entrepreneurs and farmer networks. 3. Government & Institutional Collaborations: Selected under the Operation Dronagiri initiative by the Department of Science & Technology (DST), Govt. of India, enabling access to agricultural clusters for field testing. Recognized by ASME ISHOW India, Samsung Solve for Tomorrow, and Scaler School of Technology, enabling demonstration and outreach through institutional and industry-backed platforms. 4. Incubators & Accelerators: Supported by T-Hub, MBRDI (Mercedes-Benz R&D India), and NGIN USA, which have provided platforms for technical showcases and investor demonstrations.
