Introduction of Co-Creation Project” Revolutionizing Cardiac Care in Bangladesh with Japanese Medical Expertise and Cutting-Edge Technology – Generous Co., Ltd. and MITAS Medical Inc.-

Mr. Akira Ito, Generous Co., Ltd. Scenes of Medical Practice in Developing Countries

1. The Motivation Behind Establishing This Collaborative Project

Through years of research into rehabilitation and healthcare in Bangladesh, we have become convinced that Japan’s world-renowned medical services can provide immense value to the local community.
Cardiovascular diseases, in particular, are one of the leading causes of death in the region. These diseases not only significantly diminish patients’ quality of life but also have serious long-term impacts on their post-operative health. However, a lack of adequate follow-up care and rehabilitation opportunities often leads to recurring issues or premature death. Witnessing this reality firsthand has instilled in us a strong sense of mission: “We must do something.”

The opportunity to participate in the Quest initiative, which combines both effectiveness and practicality, has given us the momentum to turn our long-held vision into action. Furthermore, as we delved deeper into our research, we realized that while medical infrastructure is gradually improving, many people lack proper medical knowledge or healthy habits, posing yet another challenge.
We firmly believe that improving the healthy lifespan of people in Bangladesh will lead to a future where patients, their families, and the entire local community can live happily. This belief is the driving force behind our passion for this project.

2. Overview of the Collaborative Project

We aim to strengthen the care system for cardiac patients in Bangladesh, particularly post-operative patients, and establish a cardiac screening support system that can function even in non-urban areas.
As the main proposing company, we will design a comprehensive care model tailored to the realities of local medical institutions, based on Japanese expertise in acute cardiac rehabilitation. Additionally, we will provide advanced wearable devices developed and customized by our company that can measure heart rate and electrocardiogram (ECG). These devices will enable continuous monitoring of patients’ conditions not only within hospitals but also outside them, in both urban and rural areas. This will create an environment where potential risks for undiagnosed patients can be identified early.

Our collaborative partner will provide an ICT system that centralizes the acquired biometric data in the cloud, making it easy to analyze and share. This system will allow medical professionals to access patient data safely and efficiently at any time, improving the quality of both treatment and follow-up care.

Through this project, we aim to prevent post-operative recurrence, enable early detection, and extend patients’ healthy lifespans while alleviating the burden on healthcare workers and elevating the overall medical standards of local communities.

3. Introduction of Co-Creation Partner

Activities of MITAS Medical in Developing Countries

MITAS Medical Inc. is a Japan-based healthcare startup dedicated to creating an environment where everyone worldwide can access high-quality medical care. They achieve this through mobile medical devices compatible with smartphones and remote ophthalmology consultation systems.
With strengths in telemedicine and the utilization of medical data, MITAS Medical will work closely with local medical institutions in this project to enhance follow-up care systems for cardiac patients and improve screening environments across both urban and rural areas.
Through this endeavor, MITAS Medical will integrate Japanese technology with local expertise to extend patients’ healthy lifespans and elevate the overall medical standards of the community.

4. Message to the Public and Call for Collaboration

This project is not only about advancing product technology but also about realizing the shared vision of both our company and our collaborative partner: “We want to improve and transform the lives of the local people.”
To accelerate the implementation and adoption of this initiative in Bangladesh, we are calling for collaboration in the following areas:

  • Financial Support: To improve product quality, cover transportation costs, train local staff, and establish a robust telemedicine environment.
  • Human Resources: Experts in medical, rehabilitation, and IT fields, as well as individuals involved in developing educational programs.
  • Collaborative Partners: Companies, universities, and local governments willing to share their expertise and technologies to jointly advance this project.

Your support will not only lead to the early detection of cardiac patients and potential cases but also contribute to spreading awareness about the importance of rehabilitation—a concept that is still underrecognized in Bangladesh. In many cases, patients suffering from severe illnesses such as heart disease or strokes are unable to receive proper rehabilitation and are forced to withdraw from society. This project aims to change that reality by creating an environment where patients can return to their daily lives and social activities.

These efforts will directly contribute to improving the medical standards of local communities. Your participation will become a powerful driving force in implementing meaningful solutions across borders.
Let us work together to bring Japan’s advanced medical technology to developing countries and create a brighter future for all.
