Leveraging AI and smart technologies to understand the status of NCDs in Laos

In Laos, the threat of noncommunicable diseases (NCDs) is increasing, but budgets, human resources, and facility/equipment are severely lacking, and especially in rural areas people face serious access barriers, to the extent that they cannot even receive a diagnosis. Delays in early intervention accelerate increases in severe complications such as chronic kidney failure and stroke; however, because surveillance systems are not yet established, it is difficult to grasp the actual disease situation, making it challenging to formulate national strategies and the like. By leveraging smart technologies, pilot studies to understand the actual status of NCDs and identify risk strata are expected, along with the collection and analysis of foundational data.

Visualize and quantify NCD risk strata through simple methods that do not require advanced knowledge or complex procedures for healthcare workers or residents.

• Early detection (pre-treatment identification), self-diagnosis
• Development of questionnaires to assess lifestyle risks using AI, etc

A track record in developing medical devices and diagnostic tools using AI and smart technologies. Companies considering expansion into Southeast Asia, including the country in question, are especially preferred.
